Paul Renaud

    Paul Renaud is a French artist who started his career in US comics with Cavewoman in 2003, and has been working steadily since for most publishers.

    While doing a few interior issues like Red Sonja : The Vacant Shell (with Rick Remender), Fear Agent, and Athena, he was first known as a cover artist, working on such titles as Vampirella, Warlord of Mars : Dejah Thoris, Red Sonja, Flash Gordon, Mass Effect, Star Wars, Iron Man, Hawkeye and Mockingbird, Secret Warriors, Black Panther, Danger Girl and the Army of Darkness, Irredeemable, Dungeons and Dragons, Blue Beetle, Suicide Squad, Superman and Wonder Woman, Uncanny Avengers, Captain America : Steve Rogers, and many, many variant covers.

    Since 2014, he’s been working almost exclusively for Marvel, producing interior issues such as UNCANNY AVENGERS ANNUAL #1 with writer Rick Remender, SECRET WARS #0 with writer Jonathan Hickman, and S.H.I.E.LD #6 with writer Mark Waid.

    In 2015 he joins the CAPTAIN AMERICA series, written by Nick Spencer, and produces several issues of CAPTAIN AMERICA : Sam Wilson while doing occasional covers for Steve Rogers. He concluded Spencer’s run on Captain America with GENERATIONS : Americas. He’s recenty worked on some issues of the miniseries Rise of the Black Panther.

    While enjoying drawing interior pages, he remains a busy cover artist producing many exclusive covers for Marvel, and contributing regularly to the STAR WARS line since Marvel regained the rights. He was cover artist on the series CAPTAIN PHASMA and THRAWN.

    Aside from his work for Marvel, he’s been doing covers for ARCHIE COMICS, and for CONAN at Dark Horse Comics. Lately, he’s been drawing cover for DC Comics on such books as Wonder-Woman, Suicide Squad, Justice League International : Convergence, and Nightwing.

    He’s currently working on a new Marvel project, yet unanounced, and doing covers for Marvel Two in One.

    He’s living in Toulouse, France, and helps organizing the Comic-book part of the Toulouse Game Show since 2014.
